Princess Cruises Announce “The Come Back New Promise”

Princess Cruises has made good on its self-styled ‘Come Back New Promise’ guest enhancement campaign, pledging a multi-year product innovation programme priced at US$450 million. The intent behind the campaign is to renovate multiple ships across the current Princess Cruises’ fleet, and continue to enhance the line’s on-board guest experience.

According to Princess Cruises, the new upgrades and enhancements will result in more “transformative moments, lifetime memories and meaningful stories for guests to share from their cruise vacation” — which roughly translates to say that Princess are adding new beds, new dining venues and new customer services across their 17 ship global fleet.

Jan Swartz, President of Princess Cruises, said: “The Come Back New Promise differentiates our approach to cruising and offers our guests enriching vacation experiences by connecting them with each other, nature and different cultures in a new way. Our promise is to provide guests transformative moments designed to inspire them to discover the world and themselves, ultimately allowing us to declare that a cruise isn’t good enough unless you ‘come back new’.”

After announcing ‘The Come Back New Promise’ at a press conference alongside celebrity chef, Curtis Stone — who’s new restaurant, SHARE, recently opened aboard Ruby Princess — Princess Cruises published the new initiatives it plans to put in place to deliver ‘The Come Back New Promise’ for its passengers. These include:

  • ‘Crafted by Curtis’ and SHARE dining venues from chef Curtis Stone to be launched fleet-wide.
  • New specially designed beds dubbed the Princess Luxury Bed to be added to all cabins and staterooms across the fleet.
  • New dining venue, The Salty Dog Gastropub, to be added to selected ships in the Princess Cruises’ fleet.
  • Fashion, style and advice service from TLC’s fashion expert, Stacy London, to be made available on selected ships across the Princess Cruises’ fleet.
