P&O Continue Itinerary Evolution

With a greater emphasis on providing shorter and themed cruise experiences, P&O Australia have released a series of new itineraries for the 2016/17 season. Recognising increased demand for short trips and getaways, P&O are offering a wide range of new cruise itineraries aboard their five ships based out of Australia spending five nights at sea or less.

Between October 2016 and July 2017, 191 cruise departures will be accommodated across 38 different itineraries. Highlights included cruises aboard the line’s two newest ships Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, which will be kicking off their second seasons as part of the fleet.

Passengers can enjoy themed cruises such as the P&O Seabreak from Auckland to Napier for the ever-popular Art Deco weekend. More and more passengers are recognising cruises as an effective way to enhance experiences and events.

Napier

P&O Seabreak is the dedicated, short cruise service featuring a number of themed cruises. To date, 84 different Seabreak experiences have been announce for the 2016/17 with a selection of different niche packages and sailings. Highlights include four different musical-themed cruise trips, visits to stunning vineyards and wildlife tours.

P&O senior vice president of commercial operations Sture Myrmell enthused: “With the biggest home-ported fleet, we can offer the largest range of itineraries and destinations in the region.”

Cabins aboard the ships for P&O’s 2016/17 season officially go on sale at the end of April and the first 200 guests to book will receive priority check-in, a welcome gift and on board credit.

There are currently 94 different Seabreak itineraries announced for the upcoming summer cruise season in Australia, with cruises sailing from every homeport in the country and Auckland.
