Ever wanted to experience the thrill of a skydive but weren’t quite prepared to throw yourself out of a moving plane? Fear not! Royal Caribbean International is making all your skydiving dreams come true with the launch of the adrenalin charged RipCord by iFLY skydiving simulator on-board two of its Quantum-class ships. Found on the decks of Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas, the new attraction is free of charge and offers passengers the ultimate in at sea entertainment!

RCI’s newest on-board toy

With other members of the Royal Caribbean International fleet boasting rock climbing walls, ice skating arenas, FlowRider surf machines and a zip line, a skydiving simulator is yet another addition to the line’s impressive inventory of ultra-exciting on-board activities.

“This new generation of ships gave us an opportunity to make another leap in vessel design,” explains Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Located at the stern of the ships on their outdoor Sports Courts, a free fall in the simulator is not only exciting but also offers thrill seekers spectacular views over the open ocean.

Safe and supervised

Whether you’re a skydiving pro or a complete novice, the amazing iFLY wind tunnel technology allows all passengers to experience the exhilarating buzz of a 10,000-foot skydiving jump from the safety of a 23-foot glass flight chamber.  You can even share your gravity defying tumble with friends and family who can watch on from an adjoining viewing platform!

Before taking the plunge, skydiving guests are briefed on safety specs, how to adopt the correct flight position and outfitted with a jumpsuit, goggles and helmet. This ensures that passengers are safe, comfortable and confident throughout their experience.

Then it’s time to fly…

Defy gravity!

After a double dose of one-minute long flights accompanied by an instructor, participants are given the opportunity to complete a free-style fall for the ultimate adrenaline pumping experience. With the chance to purchase personalised photos and video footage, Royal Caribbean passengers are guaranteed to remember their thrilling skydiving experience for a lifetime!

While RipCord operates on a daily basis, reservations are highly recommended as the complimentary attraction is wildly popular with cruise passengers of all ages!
