About the World Ocean and Cruise Liner Society:

The World Ocean and Cruise Liner Society was founded in 1980 and represents the oldest cruise organisation today. It is made up of thousands of dedicated cruise-lovers, who usually take two cruises on average each year. Each year, the society undertakes a review of all cruise lines to look for excellence and high levels of customer service among the various cruise lines. The results are published within the society’s monthly publication, Ocean & Cruise News. Importantly, the society is completely impartial and unbiased as it is not owned by any cruise company. Here is what the society had to say about Holland America Line in a recent issue of Ocean & Cruise News:

“One of the main reasons Holland America Line continues to capture our yearly honor for the best overall value in cruises is that it puts forth an extra effort to offer a number of features that other cruise lines believe are not necessary or too costly to provide….Passengers not only benefit from the convenience and enjoyment of extra features, but they also do not have to incur any additional cost. As a result, its passengers receive extraordinary value for the money they spend.”

Potential holidaymakers can be assured that the magazine is reputable, being the most heavily quoted and referenced of any cruise publication. If you are looking for informed and balanced views about what cruises are best for you, Ocean & Cruise News is a good place to start.
