Royal Princess is set to keep kids entertained with a range of fantastic activities

Keeping your children occupied and entertained while on holiday can be a tough task for many parents. While it can be very valuable to spend quality time with your kids, sometimes you just want a little time to yourselves. Your kids will no doubt also want to do their own thing too, meeting new friends and partaking in a range of fun and exciting activities.  New ship Royal Princess, soon to be launched with Princess Cruise Line, has the answer to all these problems. With its amazing new children’s clubs and activity areas, your kids will have an amazing time onboard, giving you the chance to sneak away for some time on your own!

The Children’s Activities

There are several different children’s groups on board that cater to different age ranges. If you have teenagers aged 13 to 17 the teen program called Remix. This program has a range of entertainment to choose from, including outdoor games like foosball and skeeball, recent video games, a wading pool, late-night movies and even hip-hop dance classes. So your teens can get to make new friends on the ship, Remix hosts ‘mocktail and a formal dinner.

The Shockwaves Club caters for a slightly younger age group. If you have kids aged 8 to 12 this will be perfect for them. They are lots of activities to help your young ones burn off some energy, such as various outdoor games in a special outdoor space. With its great arts and craft activities, class led by youth counsellors, and great ice-cream parties, the Shockwaves Club gets it just right for your 8 to 12s.

Finally, there the Pelicans Club is specially set up for the youngest children. This has some of the same activities as in the Shockwaves Club, such as the ice-cream parties and arts and crafts sessions. But there are some activities just for this younger group. Your kids will love the amazing Kid’s Fun Fair and racing round on tricycles on a brand-new playground space. Lastly, the Princess Pelicans Club host the popular Jr. Chef@Sea program, an interactive workshop held in the principal kitchen on the ship where your children can learn some simple culinary techniques.

About Royal Princess

Royal Princess will be the latest ship to join the Royal Caribbean line. It is scheduled to launch in June 2013 and will hold 3600 passengers. The ship is equipped with a wide range of activities, from pools, spas and the exclusive The Sanctuary, to a fitness centre and sports activities such as an indoor driving range. There are a number of dining options onboard like the Horizon Court, Alfredo’s Pizza, Gelateria, and Vines. The ship’s entertainment includes a range of lounges and bars and amazing water and lights shows that will wow passengers. Equally impressive is The SeaWalk, a glass walkway that extends 28 feet from the ship allowing spectacular views of the beautiful surroundings.
