Quantum of the Seas, first Quantum Class ship set to debut in 2014, will be blessed by godmother Kristin Chenoweth.

Last week Royal Caribbean announced that Emmy and Tony award-winning singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth will be the godmother of their newest cruise ship, Quantum of the Seas.  The ship is the first vessel in the all new ‘Quantum Class’ line, recently revealed as the secret behind the elusive and much-speculated over ‘Project Sunshine.’

This is a great pairing according to Royal Caribbean International, because the cruise line are known for being the first to introduce fully-licenced Broadway productions throughout their fleet and Chenoweth is known for several of her high profile musical theatre roles.  The two compliment each other well.

Speaking of her appointment, Chenoweth said:

“I am so excited to be named godmother of Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, Quantum of the Seas. I have been lucky to play many roles and I am looking forward to this one. I think the Royal Caribbean brand is the perfect match for me, especially with their history of providing exceptional entertainment experiences to their guests.”

This news was revealed in typical Royal Caribbean style, with a an impressive red carpet-inspired advert aired during ABC television network’s broadcast of the Oscars over in the USA.
