P&O Worldwide Cruises will be refurbishing three ships between December 2012 and December 2013.

P&O cruises have announced that they will be refurbishing three of their ships in the next year: Oceana, Ventura and Arcadia.

Oceana:

The first ship to be overhauled will be Oceana, it’ll get a refresh between 5th and 20th of December this year.  The changes are designed to upgrade the ship’s facilities, promising plush new fittings, added comfort and enhanced style.

Oceana will be in dry-dock for 15 nights and there’ll be a large number of changes being made to the interior.  Here’s a preview sketch from the P&O brochure:

These changes also include £1 million refresh will be spent on ensuring the cabins look their best.  In the meantime, Le Club, the ship’s nightclub and bar, will be completely redesigned… expect better seating, a new colour palette and an inviting snug area.

Ventura:

Next on the list for a refresh is Ventura.  This ship will gain 18 new single cabins housed next to the Exchange bar and Fortunes casino.  Ventura will be changing the name of its swanky wine bar and restaurant too:  say goodbye to Rambla and hello to “The Glass House.”  You may recognise this name from Azura, due to its popularity The Glass House will be coming to Ventura too.  No doubt you’ll be pleased to hear that the popular establishment will serve up the same wines and food.

There’s more too:  The all new “Retreat” will allow visitors to soak up the sunshine and ocean views while receiving luxury spa treatments.  The ship’s current library will be changing into a chic new perfumery, and an all new library will be relocating to the cyb@study.

These changes will take place between March 22 – April 2013.

Arcadia:

The third and final ship due for renovation is P&O’s Arcadia.  The changes will take place over 20 days in December 2013, just in time for Arcadia’s 2014 world cruise.

The Globe will replace Electra, giving Arcadia a fantastic late night dancing venue which is enclosed with a sparkling glass wall.  The wall is not only designed to reduce the noise that travels from the nightclub, but it enhances the quality of the sound for those dancing and partying too!  Bonus!

Many of Arcadia’s cabins will also be given a facelift, this is to ensure they remain comfortable and stylish for guests for relaxing after a long day packed full of fun, shopping, excitement, entertainment and sightseeing.

Plus, those holidaying on Arcadia in 2014 will be able to enjoy a refreshed Marco Pierre White’s Ocean Grill: the restaurant will get an updated look and feel with a new reception area, carpet and improved seating.

Many of Arcadia’s shops will be also refitted to enchance passengers’ shopping experience, meanwhile, the Crow’s Nest bar will be given some new seating and a new cozy space will be created for you to enjoy with family, friends, or perhaps a loved one.
