About Norwegian Breakaway

Norwegian Breakaway is the latest addition to the Norwegian Cruises fleet, and it shows: this is one impressive-looking ship. Designed by renowned artist Peter Max, it features a huge mural on its sides and classy, modern design throughout. It’s also the world’s fifth-largest cruise ship, with enough room for more than 4,500 guests and some 1,600 crew.

As you might expect, there’s a huge range of dining options on board, including Teppanyaki (Japanese food), La Cucina (Italian), Wasabi Sushi Bar, Uptown Bar & Grill, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Dolce Gelato (Ice Cream) and many more.

There’s also a whole host of bars to choose from, including the cool Ice Bar which is kept at a chilly 17 degrees fahrenheit, Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar and the outdoor Spice H2O, a poolside bar inspired by Ibiza – something for all ages and preferences.

And you won’t find yourself short of on-board entertainment, either. Check out the Rock Of Ages live theatre show; the Cirque Dreams & Dinner Jungle Fantasy; or perhaps The Second City comedy group, whose alumni includes Bill Murray and Joan Rivers. There’s even a Jazz & Blues Club for the musically inclined.

If you’re looking for fun activities, why not try the Aqua Park or the casino? There’s also plenty for kids to do, like the Entourage 13-17 club and the Splash Academy for 3-12 year olds.

And if you’re a fitness fanatic – or simply feel like a splash around in the pool – be sure to check out the fitness centre. Or for the ultimate in relaxation, the spa offers a number of steam baths, saunas and beauty treatments to enjoy.

Staterooms on Norwegian Breakaway

Don’t let the fact that this is a new ship fool you: there’s something for all budgets here. The great-value interior rooms offer a comfortable stay without a sea view, or for slightly more you can book one of the oceanview staterooms. Next up are the balcony rooms, with a private outdoor area to enjoy. Mini-suites offer a glimpse of true luxury, while the Deluxe and Family suites offer the very best experience this ship has to offer.
