Ms Volendam welcomes her fellow Vista class ship ms Oosterdam for a winter season in the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region. The ship arrived for its inaugural visit to the area on Wednesday 24 October.

Holland America Line will be basing ms Oosterdam in Sydney for the whole season – the first time they have tried this.

Guests can enjoy the fantastic new hydrotherapy pool in the Greenhouse Spa, extended staterooms with their own verandahs, and plenty to see and do on board. As with all the Holland America ships fine dining and interesting demonstrations such as Digital Workshops to help cruisers produce fantastic photo memories of their cruise, and masterchef culinary displays are just part of the experience.

“The arrival of Oosterdam means a 25 percent increase in capacity compared to previous seasons and a wider range of itineraries for our guests to enjoy,” explains Tony Archbold, Holland America Line’s Sydney-based Director of Sales “It’s also the first time we’ve had two ships sailing in the region simultaneously.”

“Since opening our dedicated Australian sales office last August, the number of Australians sailing with us in the South Pacific and in overseas destinations has grown impressively.” Tony Archbold added: “Aussies know a great value holiday when they see one and now is ideal time to book a Holland America Line cruise.”
