Indonesia steals the spotlight

A tropical line at heart, Paul Gauguin bases all its cruises out of ports in Tahiti, French Polynesia, Fiji and the South Pacific. In 2017, it will debut a brand new 16-night voyage sailing to and from Bali. m/s Paul Gauguin will call at eight ports along the way, introducing passengers to stunning natural scenery, a historically rich culture and a kaleidoscope of wildlife.

Advocates for the planet

While on-board passengers will have the chance to attend on board lectures from the Wildlife Conservation Society, designed to enrich the journey and promote the importance of marine science and wildlife conservation in the South Pacific. With thousands of fish, sharks, sea turtles, sea birds, plants and other species calling the region home, the programme actively inspires travellers to engage in experiential learning, and take away more than just incredible holiday memories.

Highlights from the latest itinerary

One of the keynote highlights is a call at Vanuatu’s Espiritu Santo, a paradise of colourful coral reefs and mysterious underwater wrecks. In the Solomon Islands, Guadalcanal is a mecca for WWII history buffs, while Papua New Guinea’s Samarai Island is a fascinating glimpse into the region’s British colonial past. Nature enthusiasts won’t want to pass on an opportunity to get face to face with the country’s iconic Komodo dragon monitor lizards, measuring in at three metres.

As well as the new Indonesian itinerary, Paul Gauguin will continue to run its eternally popular sailings to Tahiti, the Society Islands, the Cook Islands, Marquesas, Tonga, Fiji and Tuamotus.
