About Los Angeles

Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States (second only to New York), with almost 4 million residents. The area is best known for Hollywood and everything that comes with it, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the city for other reasons – it has plenty of beautiful scenery and plenty of hidden gems when it comes to things to do.

Venice Beach is one of the most interesting beaches you’ll ever visit – you’ll find yourself surrounded by skateboarders and open-air bodybuilders (great for people watching!).

If celebrity is more your thing, head on over to Hollywood where you can visit the Walk of Fame and find your favourite movie star’s plaque. Nearby you might even find the world-famous ‘Hollywood’ sign on the hills.

If you’re an avid sky-watcher, check out the Griffith Observatory – the building alone is an attraction for many.

And Disneyland offers some serious fun for all the family – an experience that few people will ever forget. Of course, this is just one of the theme parks in the area.

There’s so much to do, and yet we haven’t even touched on the huge choice of restaurants, bars and theatres in the city!

Cruises visiting Los Angeles also visit other fantastic destinations in the region, such as San Diego, Vancouver and Fort Lauderdale – plus other places further afield like Ensenada, Panama and Honolulu.

Cruise lines offering Los Angeles cruises include Royal Caribbean Cruises, Cunard, Holland America Line and Princess Cruises.
