Enjoy these special themed cruises, starring experts in food and wine:

Eric Lanlard, will be teaming up with P&O cruises as they launch their Food and Wine themes for 2013. Lanlard is a legend in the patisserie and cake world with his clients including Her Majesty the Queen Mother, England footballer, David Beckham and actress Claudia Schiffer. He was also commissioned to make the 175 year celebration cake for P&O last July which was officially cut by HRH The Princess Royal.

Masterclass:

Lanlard will be showing passengers the ins and outs of his most intricate designs and techniques required to produce the chocolate desserts, cakes and patisseries.

He will be resident on two P&O cruises during 2013, the first being the two week cruise aboard Azura commending 27 April. This will be sailing around the Western Mediterranean with Olly Smith, presenter of the Secret Supper Club, and Atul Kochhar, celebrity Indian chef.

The second cruise will be a 28 night cruise on the Adonia, commencing in November to the Caribbean. Internationally famous chef Marco Pierre White will be joining P&O for this cruise.

Lanlard has a great passion for baking, but insists that it is essential that they taste as good as they look. He will be taking part in a question and answer session on board, running photo sessions and giving guests the chance to see his demonstrations in the theatre. For a lucky 10, he will be running a private masterclass on the Azura cruise only.

Lanlard is a big fan of cruising, he says:

“I have been on many cruises and love them, it’s a great way to travel and see different places in a short time. I am so excited to be working with the team at P&O Cruises, I love sharing my passion for my work, meeting new people and of course I love being on the ships, come and join me!”

About P&O:

P&O cruises pride themselves in the quality and presentation of their food and drink and on board the Azura and Adonia will be no exception. Guests can expect nothing but the best produce and finest wines to go with it.

P&O cruises, voted as Britain’s favourite cruise line celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2012. They currently have seven ships running cruises that offer a genuine sense of occasion and old fashioned customer service. They will be adding a further new ship to the fleet in 2015 that as yet remains unnamed.
