Two of Azamara’s boutique cruise ships will receive a makeover in the next few months

Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey will both get shipwide facelifts in the coming months.  The refurbishments promise swanky new carpets, plush upholstery, comfy mattresses, new balcony furniture for suites and staterooms, plus upgraded sun loungers.  Out will go the current colour scheme, and passengers can look forward a new palette throughout both ships.

Those looking for a spot of pampering will be able to enjoy the Spa and Fitness Centres’ brand new steam rooms, while those wishing to maintain their ‘body temples’ during their cruise holiday will be pleased to hear there will be brand new state-of-the-art card equipment arriving aboard both ships.

Food and Drink:

On a cruise holiday you expect a touch of indulgence when it comes to food and drink, something Azamara understand perfectly.  The company will be upgrading their wining and dining facilities during the refurbishments too.  First, the Casino Bar will receive some new plush furniture, and a Champagne and caviar bar will be created within ‘Aqualina’, giving those who want that bit of extra luxury the perfect watering hole. In addition, a new ‘Chef’s Table’ will be created, giving guests the opportunity to sample wines from three all new degustation menus (Italian, French and Californian).

Exterior:

It’s not just the ship’s interior that is receiving a facelift.  Both ships will have their white hulls refreshed and painted in a dark blue colour.

About the Makeover:

Azamara Quest will be dry-docked in Spain for eight nights while the changes take place, before she sets sail for a 13-night tour of Madeira and Canary Islands on the 15 November.

Azamara Journey will be dry-docked in Singapore on the 6th of January for seven nights.  Post renovations, Journey will continue with her Asia season.

About Azamara:

Azamara Club Cruises offer boutique sailing and a more intimate experience for guests.  This gives passengers the opportunity to visit the ports that the big ships can’t.

Azamara position themselves as the “exclusive, luxury” cruise holiday provider, allowing travellers to explore unique destinations off the beaten track.  If you’re looking for a cruise holiday that allows you to seek adventure, escape the crowds and travel in an unrivalled class, then Azamara Club Cruises are for you.

Azamara offers fine cuisine at sea, with restaurant meals provided by renowned chefs.  The company also boasts outstanding service all round, plus all of your home comforts in their stateroom accommodation.  While onboard, guests can indulge in a spa therapy treatment, or choose to take part in one of the many activities offered by the cruise line.

Azamara’s fleet won a number of gongs in the 2011 “Cruise Critic” awards, almost sweeping the board for the “small ship” categories:  from “Overall Cruisers’ Choice Award” to “Best for Cabins”, “Best for Dining” and “Best for Value”.
