Cruising with Princess is set to get even smoother. A recent announcement revealed that the line is rolling out a brand new beverage package on its Australian bound ships. Now, guests on-board Dawn Princess, Sun, Princess, Sea Princess and other international ships calling at Down Under ports will enjoy the option of purchasing an all-inclusive package that covers items priced at up to $14. This means that guests can sip on craft cocktails, top shelf spirits, specialty beers, fine wine, artisan coffee, soft drinks, shakes, juices and bottled water to their heart’s content. Princess is also offering a 40% discount on bottled wine under $100 for passengers who purchase the package.
It’s a fantastic deal! But it does come with a few catches. Packages can’t be pre-purchased, which means passengers will have to wait until they board the ship to buy an all-inclusive drinks pass off a bartender or waiter. They’re only available on itineraries of eight nights or longer and must be purchased for the entire duration of the trip. This means no picking and choosing what days to drink up a storm.
Joining the drinking revolution
For Australian cruisers the move echoes a trend that’s starting to infiltrate Down Under ships. The introduction of beverage packages sees Princess Cruises join the likes of Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Holland America Line in their bid to offer passengers an unsurpassed at-sea experience. Cheers to that!
