A New Princess Is Born: Princess Cruises name latest ship

0

The newest addition to the Princess Cruises fleet, Regal Princess, was presented in her keel laying ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy in August 2012. The keel alone weighs approximately 500 tons, and the finished ship will be around 141,000 tons, to be launched in the northern spring of 2014.

Regal Princess will boast recreational rooms for every age group, and a choice of eateries that an international city could be proud of.

The extra special ‘Chef’s Table Luminere’ will be a dining opportunity giving privacy to guests with a curtain of light. For the most reclusive, balconies are available for all outside staterooms.

A swimming pool for active guests with recliners for relaxed lounging is standard, but the Regal Princess stands out with secluded poolside cabanas appearing to float on water. Aiming beyond expectation, the Regal Princess will also feature a transparent glass walkway called the Seawalk jutting out eight metres and 128 ft above the water.

When she launches in Spring 2014, the Regal Princess will be one of the finest cruise ships available for family holidays, retirement treats and anyone who wants to splash out on the holiday of a lifetime.
