Holland America Line’s ms Noordam Charts a Course for Central and Western Mediterranean Cruises In 2014

Planning a cruise for 2014?  Interested in the culture and history of central and western Mediterranean?  Then you’ll want to consider Holland America Line’s ms Noordam and its new itineraries for next spring and summer!

The cruise line is offering a wide range of itineraries for 2014.  These include voyages as short as 11 days and as long as 33 days from April to October. The cruises start and end in such stunning locales as Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, and Barcelona, Spain, or Venice, Italy.

Central and Western Mediterranean Itinerary Options

Here are some of the options that you can select for your Holland American Line cruise:

  • The 11-day itineraries include places like Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Tunisia, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro and Turkey.
  • The Collector’s Voyages, which range from 22 to 33 days, take two or three of the 11-day itineraries and put them together to give you a more in-depth cruise experience with very few repeat – if any – repeat stops.
  • On all itineraries, you can enjoy the “On Location” enrichment programs where you will be treated to local traditions, culinary tastes, and cultural experiences both onboard and ashore.

Planning Your Trip

Holland America Line already has specific dates for all its sailings and is taking reservations now. Here is what is on offer:

  • The “Mediterranean Explorer” voyage sails from Barcelona to Civitavecchia (Rome). The cruise begins with an overnight at Barcelona and continues on to Marseille (Provence), France; Monte Carlo, Monaco; Calvi, Corsica; Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy; La Goulette (Tunis), Tunisia, and Palermo and Naples, Italy.
  • The “Adriatic Dream” leaves from Civitavecchia (Rome) and sails to Venice. Stops include Messina, Sicily, Italy, after scenic cruising along the Strait of Messina; Valletta, Malta; Argostolion and Kerkira (Corfu), Greece; Kotor, Montenegro, and Dubrovnik, Korcula and Split, Croatia.
  • The “Mediterranean Dream” cruise departs from Venice and sails to Civitavecchia (Rome). This itinerary features six ports of call in the Greek Isles, including Katakolon (Olympia), Navplion, Piraeus (Athens), Mykonos, Rhodes and Santorini. The ship also calls at Kusadasi, Turkey, home to Ephesus, and Naples, Italy.
  • “Venetian Adventure” sails round-trip from Civitavecchia (Rome) with an overnight at Venice and stops at Messina after scenic cruising along the Strait of Messina, Valletta, Kotor, Split, Dubrovnik and Kerkira (Corfu).
  •  The “Mediterranean Dream” cruise stops at Katakolon (Olympia), Navplion, Piraeus (Athens), Mykonos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Santorini and Naples.
