Crystal Cruises have recently announced their new and exciting entertainment onboard two Northern Europe cruises, sailing summer 2013.

Passengers on these cruises will be able to watch live performances from young and talented musicians who are sure to become the next big thing! These new entertainment attractions mark a continuation of Crystal Cruises’ relationship with the Music Centre of Los Angeles’ Spotlight Programme.

Onboard Crystal Symphony Iceland during its voyage from Reykjavik to Southampton, the talented musicians Tim Callobre, the award-winning Classical and Flamenco guitarist, the flautist Sarah Johnson and the vocalist Geoffrey Hahn will play a range of blues and jazz numbers that are sure to delight the audience. And excitingly, the famous American Broadway actress Karen Morrow, who has had a long and distinguished career and won numerous awards, will be leading a vocal performance master class on the ship!

Crystal Serenity, which will be sailing from Copenhagen to Stockholm on 15th June, has its own fantastic musical entertainment. Passengers onboard this ship will be able to see the young baritone Opera singer Sean Plumb, who is making waves in the classical music scene and has performed all across America. The award-winning classical pianist Tianpeng Yu will also be onboard, and for those who love ballet, the dancers Charlie Anderson and Shelby Elsbree, both of the Royal Danish Ballet, will be performing live. A master class in ballet will also be held onboard by the ballet dancer, France Kessler-Lavac.

Alongside these amazing musical performances, there is a chance for passengers to get some behind-the-scenes experience and understand what it takes for these young performers to play in such great venues as the Kennedy Centre, Carnegie Hall, New York City Ballet and Julliard. If passengers want to find out and study even more about the tough regime of these young performers, the Music Centre television channel in the staterooms will feature the Music Centre’s Spotlight programme.

“Like Crystal, the Music Centre has been a pre-eminent leader in its field for decades, with the highest standard for talent and a reputation for excellence…When you consider the extraordinary stages these young artists have performed upon already, and the growing success sure to come in their futures, we’re thrilled to have them playing exclusively for Crystal guests en route to the top.”

— Christopher Escamilla, Crystal’s manager, production operations and entertainment integration.
