2014 was an incredibly successful year for Carnival Cruise Line, with Cruise Fever readers selecting the company as the winner of the site’s coveted Best Cruise Line award! The British-American owned cruise line drew in more votes than any other contender, standing as a testament to the company’s commitment to exceptional customer service, amazing itineraries and unforgettable on-board experiences.

  • A year of new initiatives

One of the driving forces behind Carnival’s sweepstake win was the unveiling of an array of exciting new initiatives in 2014. These include the enchanting Suess at Sea programme, the marine themed Camp Ocean kids club and the amplified Carnival LIVE concert series which showcased a cherry picked line-up of well-known bands.

  • Fleet wide revamps

As well as unique new initiatives Carnival also spent 2014 rolling out Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements across the fleet. This saw the line’s ship’s fitted out with a range of up-to-the-minute on-board entertainment including Playlist Productions shows, George Lopez’s Punchliner Comedy Club evenings and larger than life Hasbro: the Game Show sessions. Passengers were also treated to additional dining options, with Guy’s Burger Joint and Mexican themed Blue Iguana Cantina two of our top picks!

While Carnival Cruise Lines was crowned the overall winner the Cruise Fever awards also recognised a handful of other stand-out companies.

  • Quantum of the Seas – Best New Cruise Ship

With its plethora of next generation features and at-sea firsts it came as no surprise that Quantum of the Seas was awarded the Best New Cruise Ship crown.
