Celebrity Cruises are planning to give Century a spectacular send off next year when the ship retires after 20 years in service with the company.

To ensure the ship’s farewell season goes with a bang, the cruise line are pulling out all of the stops and have planned a special ‘Celebration of the Century’ cruise.

Celebrity Century’s Farewell Season:

Century will visit over 70 destinations across 32 countries – 17 of these will be new destinations for Celebrity Cruises. Some of the new ports of call are:

  • Manila and Boracay, Philippines;
  • Bandar Seri Begawan (Muara), Brunei;
  • Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar.

Guests will also be able to take part in culture-rich excursions and adventures in Asia, Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific Coast and the South Pacific over the course of the year.

Century’s farewell season will last from March 2014 to April 2015.

The ‘Celebration of the Century’ Cruise:

During Century’s farewell tour, she will host a “President’s ‘Celebration of the Century’ cruise.”  This special one off cruise will sail for 14-nights and call at ports in Asia.   Captain’s Club loyalty members and holidaymakers will join Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, on this special tour.

The cruise will set off from Singapore on March 8th 2015 and guests will visit destinations in Vietnam and the Philippines.

The cruise line are planning to announce further special events and exclusive activities in the coming months.

About Celebrity Century:

Century launched in 1995 and was one of Celebrity’s lead ships for many years. In 2006, Century was refurbished – this was the line’s most extensive renovation to date.

Century was the first ship to be installed with the now hugely popular Martini Bar, and the Murano restaurant, which has subsequently won awards.

Onboard Century, guests can enjoy the amazing cinema, go for a swim in the impressive pool, place a bet in the casino or indulge with a treatment at the spa.

Celebrity Cruises have not yet revealed what will happen to the ship after she goes out of commission next year.

About Celebrity Cruises:

Celebrity cruise line are proud to say their ships embody “modern luxury,”  a simple phrase that has “become the definition of Celebrity Cruises” today.

But what is modern luxury?  Quite simply, it’s what happens when contemporary design meets warm spaces, amazing dining experiences, unmatchable excursions and high levels of service.

And modern luxury seems to be working for the cruise line too, because Celebrity have won many industry awards.  They put these accolades down  to their unforgettable onboard experiences, luxurious accommodations, award-winning gourmet dining and their unbeatable choice of hand-picked destinations.
